This Privacy Policy describes how AltaiPlot Software ("AltaiPlot", "we", "our", or "us") processes personal information related to the use, licensing, and support of the Software.
2. What Stays on Your Machine
AltaiPlot is designed as an offline-first application. Your spreadsheets, projects, plots, figures, scripts, curve fitting results, analyses, exported images, and scientific datasets are processed entirely on your local computer. AltaiPlot does not upload, collect, transmit, or access your scientific data unless you explicitly use a feature that requires network communication.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on the services you use, we may process the following information:
- Name
- Email address
- License key
- One-way hashed hardware identifier used solely for license validation
- License status and activation history
- Purchase information received from our payment provider
- Optional anonymous telemetry (only if enabled)
- Optional crash reports (only if enabled)
We do not collect or process your scientific datasets.
4. License Activation
When you activate or validate your license, the following information may be transmitted securely to our licensing server:
- License key
- One-way hashed hardware identifier
- Software version
- License status
The hardware identifier is generated solely for license validation and cannot be used to reconstruct your hardware configuration or personally identify you.
5. Anonymous Telemetry and Crash Reports
Telemetry and crash reporting are entirely optional. They are disabled by default. No diagnostic information is transmitted unless you explicitly enable telemetry in the Software settings. You may disable telemetry at any time. Our software enforces this through a technical consent gate before any telemetry data is transmitted.
6. Payment Information
Payments are processed entirely by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. We never receive or store your payment card details. To fulfill purchases, deliver licenses, manage subscriptions, and provide customer support, we may receive limited order information from Dodo Payments, such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Order ID
- License entitlement
- Subscription status

7. Cookies and Local Storage
AltaiPlot.com uses cookies and local storage technologies to provide essential website functionality, remember user preferences, process payments, and, where permitted, understand website usage. Essential & Functional Storage: We use local storage items to remember your cookie preferences (altaiplot-cookie-consent) and your selected language (altaiplot-lang). These technologies do not constitute advertising or cross-site tracking. Analytics Cookies: With your consent, AltaiPlot.com may use Google Analytics to measure website traffic and usage patterns. Analytics cookies, including _ga and _ga_*, are not activated before you provide explicit consent. If you decline, analytics tracking remains completely disabled. Analytics data is used solely for measurement and product improvement. AltaiPlot does not use these technologies for advertising targeting, remarketing, or the sale of personal data. Payment & Checkout: When you initiate a purchase, third-party payment and checkout technologies provided by Dodo Payments are used to securely process the transaction and deliver your license. Managing Preferences: You may change or withdraw your consent at any time through our cookie controls or your browser settings. Refusing analytics cookies does not prevent you from browsing AltaiPlot.com or purchasing AltaiPlot software.
